RAM MADAAN, ESQ.
Ram Madaan is an attorney at law. His practice focuses on international
transactions, including Investments,
Tax Planning, Corporate Structuring, Joint Ventures, Outsourcing,
Negotiating, Licensing, Agency and Distribution arrangements,
arbitration & litigation. Ram Madaan is an
attorney at law in New York, USA.
He has worked with leading law firms in the
United States, including Jenner & Block in Chicago, and with ICC
International Court of Arbitration, Paris. He has appeared before ICC
International Court of Arbitration, Paris, American Arbitration
Association (AAA), and other courts and tribunals. Mr. Madaan has written and lectured
extensively in the USA, Europe and India on a variety of topics
including corporate and commercial laws, international business laws,
international commercial arbitration and fast track arbitration. His
legal articles have been published in leading journals of the United
States and Europe. He has chaired programs for lawyers on Doing Business
with India, international arbitration and international transactions in
various cities in the United States. He has also drafted and advised on
drafting of commercial laws for Indonesia, Massachusetts, Illinois and
India. Mr. Madaan has served as the Chair of South Asia Law Committee
and as the Chair of Asia-Pacific Law Committee of American Bar
Association (International Section).
He is a law graduate of Harvard Law School and G.N.D. University where he graduated with a Gold Medal.
He is also an Adjunct Professor at the John Marshall Law School in
Chicago, USA where he teaches courses on "Multinational Corporations
Law" and "South Asian Commercial Laws." He is also a director of Chicago
International Dispute Resolution Association (CIDRA). He is an Honorary
Fellow of the Centre for International Legal Studies, Austria.
